Ding! Dong! Hi-Fi Holidays 2013 is here!
Well, I really had to shove this one out the door to get it ready on time. Every year I start a little bit earlier, and end a little bit later… Eventually I’ll be starting on December 26th, only to finish on December 24th.
There are a few newcomers on this year’s comp, and a few familiar names. Pay attention to the groovy-country styles of Lonnie & Lottie, a long-forgotten Canadian duo from the 1960s, and the instructional “Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town” by the Sandpiper Chorus and Orchestra. Make sure to sing-a-long after learning the words!
Some useless Hi-Fi Holidays stats:
[list]- Over 10 hours, and 30 minutes of music in the series
- 268 tracks over 8 volumes
- “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” has appeared the most — nine times
- Perhaps the only music series to feature Al Caiola, Al Hirt and Al Martino; Harry Simeone, Henry Mancini, Herb Alpert, Hugo and Luigi and Hugo Winterhalter
Special Limited Time Bonus!
It’s a special encore presentation of last year’s compilation! Get it while you can — before it goes back into the vault… forever!
